Yawn intentionally
"Yawning is contagious" You must have heard it several times, It actually is! a sign of boredom, disinterest, and sleepiness, pretending getting bored and sleepy will actually make you sleep.
Keep it dark OR try a sleep mask
Light and darkness are powerful cues that tell your body it's time to rest.
Sleep position
Everybody have a different comfort position for sleeping find a comfortable sleep position that supports your good sleep posture.
No Laptop/ No mobile on bed
Most of the couples after getting their kids to sleep move on their
mobiles to track their financials, paying bills online or check social sites, this need to cut down (stopping it is difficult I know ;-) ) Try cutting down on your bedtime gaming, chatting surfing etc.
Try to set a routine
Your body has built-in biological clock, called the circadian clock, if you set a routine it helps you fall asleep each night and wake up the next morning on the same time, Trust me it’s true!
Blink your eyelids fast.
Try blinking your eyes really fast for a minute, tired eyes help you fall asleep quicker!
Don't check the clock after turning off lights
If you check the time over and over, it only adds to your stress when you're trying to get some shut-eye, once you turn out the lights, don't check the time again—even if you wake up.
NO TEA-COFFEE before bed
Don’t take Tea/ Coffee 4 hours before sleeping, Caffeine is a stimulant, so drinking caffeine can interfere with a good night's sleep.

Concentrate on breathing going in going out
Simply focusing your attention on your breathing will make you bored very fast and you won't even know when you fall asleep.
Take warm bath & set room temp cool
Take a warm shower and when you come out of a warm shower into a cooler bedroom, and your body temperature will drop. That drop in temperature signals your body that it's time to rest, it will help you to fall asleep faster.
Read books & journals
Reading is a wonderful way to reduce stress and help your mind to unwind, just six minutes of reading can ease the tension of stress in the human body, making it a faster method to calm nerves and get sleepy.
Wear easy & comfortable clothes
Wearing comfortable clothes can help you relax and will make it easier to fall asleep.
